Hi there! I'm Barbara - the face behind Focus Designs & Photos.

​I am a "natural light on-location" photographer who believes that nothing flatters like natural light. My goal is to produce beautiful photos that capture your family’s natural moments & expressions and most importantly that special feeling of connection.  Whenever possible my sessions take place outdoors before sunset when that magical golden light appears. My newborn sessions take place in your home where everyone is most relaxed & comfortable - this also allows me to capture some lifestyle photos in your baby’s nursery.  Life is so hectic these days and kids grow up in the blink of an eye.  It truly means so much to me when clients tell me that they’ll treasure my photos for years to come.

When I’m not behind the camera I’m usually with spending time with my little family in the suburbs of Boston. I play an active role in our community and volunteer my time & creativity in a wonderful local group called #shopFranklin that encourages folks to support our amazing small businesses.  Some of my creations can be found in one of my favorite local shops Fiori (located on Union Street in Franklin) as well as online in my Etsy shop "Focus Designs".  Baking sweet treats, Target shopping trips, getting dirt under my nails in my garden, and browsing Pinterest for inspiration are just a few of my favorite things!
